Welcome Back

Hi

Our Forum Database has been unavailable for the last week and is still in the process of being recovered, so I felt it best to setup a new forum so that we can regain contact.
Once the original database has been recovered we'll import the posts into this forum.

Thanks
Mark

Hi everybody,

It feels nice to see some good people doing good work at Sim-Avionics and Flight Deck Solutions. My congratulations to all of you for the successes you achieved lately. I'm glad to be part of the team even though I'm only an end-user.

Over the last 5 or so years that I've been building my simulator I must say it has come a long way but its still not complete. Money was always a limiting factor for me so I had to do all the fabrication and construction myself. Like most of us on this forum can attest to. I use IOcards so factor in all the hours involved in soldering cards together and about a mile of cable and the hours spent learning SIOC and the modeling and the tweaking and it adds up to a significant hobby to say the least.

I've always made sure that I enjoyed my sim and flew regular flights during all phases of construction and that has kept it fun for me. But the one thing that made it all possible was the work of Mark Hastings and the like. Were it not for Sim-Avionics and some other great software I would have given up along time ago. I know half the guys on this forum started thier builds long ago and can attest to the avionics availible then. Look how far we've come.

A great deal of knowlege and the only way many of us have to communicate with each other was available on this forum and It will feel good to many of us to see some positive activity again.

I can't wait to hear from you all.

Hi Mark

Glad to see the forum is up and running again - no doubt a lot of frustration & work on your behalf. Hopefully the earlier threads will be able to be resurrected.

As a new user of SIM A I'm looking forward to using the software and seeing what it can do. Cheers, WilloW :D

Do you have any idea when older post will be restored if at all?
